In order to optimize our resources and provide more public access, CMAC plans call for portable camera and recording equipment used in conjunction with studio-based editing facilities. CMAC has been collaborating with CSUFresno since the beginning and plans to develop a full editing and production studio for public, educational and government use at the Kremen school on campus.
CMAC’s approach also includes the option for creating “satellite” production facilities as the need arises – much as access to a central library is enhanced through branch locations. As an example, CMAC has initiated discussions with the City of Fresno Parks and Recreation Department, the Center for Advanced Research and Technology (CART) and other groups to identify potential satellite facilities to help ensure broad geographic and demographic access to PEG resources as rapidly as possible.
